Walking Ballard

On Tuesday evening, Ty and I went for a walk around the neighborhood after dinner.  It was a warm, lazy evening, and we wanted to take advantage of the last of the long days and summer sunsets.  I decided to take the camera along to snap a couple pictures.

So without further ado…

Looking out over the dock across from Vicky, we can see the sun set behind the Theodore Bear, another live aboard at the marina.

Ty and I wandered into the parking lot behind the old Union Gasoline building where we spied some classic vehicles, including a early-to-mid 1960s ranchero.

The Union Gasoline company is long gone, but the building kept its sign and houses workshops of various sorts.

We also wandered into a facing lot to admire colorful graffiti and the backside of an old Ford van.  Ballard has no shortage of graffiti or old Fords.

After checking out the cars, we wandered over the the boat launch on the other side of the Ballard Bridge.  Next to the boat launch is an old warehouse that was pretty cool looking against the bright blue sky.

We arrived back at Vicky just in time to see the last bits of sunshine behind her.  (Ty just finished putting new handrails along the top of her cabin, which look quite elegant!)

We will miss the warm summer evenings as fall arrives.
